DTN COMMENTS:  A few more bids are on the table in parts of the South, 
but so far they are being passed. Asking prices remain rather elusive. We 
are still waiting for trade to develop in the South as only minimal 
numbers have moved in that area. The North had a light to moderate trade 
take place on Wednesday and Thursday, dressed deals had a huge range of 
$354 to $370, mostly $360, $2 higher than last week's weighted average. 

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 361.79 +0.82, select 351.05 
+2.10) with light box movement (35.27 lds of choice cuts, 3.82 lds of 
3.82 lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 4.70 lds of ground). Live 
cattle futures are modestly higher while feeder issues are sharply higher 
at this time.
